What is CNC Machining?
CNC is short for Computer Numerical Control. This form of machining is one of the most popular forms of manufacturing today. It is often used for metal fabrication, however other forms of material can also be used in a CNC machine. The machine is programmed by computers to ensure precise to exact specification products are made.
A CNC machine comes in many forms. It can be a milling machines, plasma cutters, grinders, lathes, drilling machines or a combination of the above. The common factor is the use of a computer to program and run the machine.
The ability for a CNC machine to move a part to position it for modification via programming is what differentiates it from other manufacturing processes. A non-CNC machine requires the machinist to place, move, and run the machine through manual movement of levers and wheels.
The programming feature of CNC on a machine makes it much faster to get to accurate coordinates, widths, depths and hole placement among other manufacturing specifications.

In addition to machining capabilities we have 3D printing expertise. We have multiple 3D Printers for all types of printing needs.
CNC Manufacturing v.s 3D Printing: Which is best?
CNC manufacturing is a “subtractive” process where material is removed from a solid block to create the desired part or shape. 3D printing is an “additive” process that builds an object layer by layer by adding material. CNC is generally more precise for complex geometries but less flexible in design compared to 3D printing. 3D printing is normally less expensive as well due to the materials used.
CNC machining typically offers higher dimensional accuracy and surface finished compared to 3D printing, especially for critical applications.
Both technologies can work with a variety of material. CNC usually has a broader range, including metals and harder plastics. 3D printing may have limitations depending on the specific process and the product that is being made.
When to chose CNC machining:
Parts requiring high precision and tight tolerances
Production of large quantities of similar parts
Need for superior surface finish
The part needs to be powder coasted, plated, or anodized.
When to chose 3D Printing:
Rapid Prototyping and design iteration
Customized parts with unique designs
Flexible materials
Need several parts but are not at a point to invest in plastic molding
